Music and Choir
Music at St. Luke’s is joyful and vibrant and a critical part of our worship, particularly the Sunday 10:15 service where the focus is on traditional hymns along with occasional selections from our contemporary Rx Songbook. The 10:15 service also features a full choir of professional singers and parishioners that leads us in song for the Processional and Recessional, Gospel Hymn, the Psalm and Lord’s Prayer, as well as hymns during Holy Eucharist. Anyone who is passionate about singing is encouraged to join the choir. Trumpeters and other instrumentalists frequently embellish the music on Holy Days. For more information please contact Tom Strickland.
Coffee Hour
Coffee Hour follows each Sunday service, with the earlier one coinciding with Adult Forum and offering bagels and doughnuts purchased with weekly donations. A second Coffee Hour follows the 10:15 service and is hosted by different parishioners who team up each week to provide snacks, making it a fun, engaging opportunity to both connect with others and serve. The fare does not need to be fancy, and you do not need to bake unless, of course, you want to! Contact the church office for more information and to sign up as a host.
Senior Exercise Class
Join us in the Parish Hall each Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 9-10 a.m. to work on increasing your balance, strength and endurance. New participants are welcome and begin with a gentle exercise regime and progress slowly. Along with the exercises, this growing group laughs a lot and enjoys fellowship and refreshments. Contact the church office for questions and check the Friday eNews for occasional changes in scheduling
Daughters of the King
St. Luke’s has an active and growing Daughters of the King chapter that offers healing prayer and anointing for congregants in the Centennial Room (at the rear of the Nave) every third Sunday during Communion at the 10:15 service and following the service. Our members also are involved individually in a variety of other Parish ministries. Learn more here.
