Meet Lamar
Lamar works with a group that places gap year students in crucial non-profits and volunteers for the Cherry Creek Arts Festival. In the early ‘80s, he taught English as a Second Language to refugees in the Philippines. He’s currently rereading all of Ellen Gilchrist’s novels, and during the “plague” read movie star bios and presidential biographies up through FDR. Lamar and his wife, Charlotte, enjoy traveling overseas. He finds the three parts to worship at St. Luke’s refreshing. If one part doesn’t fulfill him, another will. He likes the freedom of choosing to engage or not; recently, he got to know someone he’s greeted in church for a long time.
